THE TREE OF LOVE, Brooklyn

I was invited by the Anne Fontaine Foundation to help raise awareness about the destruction of the Atlantic Forest in Brazil. To better explore the notion of “the fragility of life”, I created this photograph that symbolizes love and suffering at the same time. [Related projects, “Dreaming Marilyns” (2012-13), “Innocence” (2009-12), “American Dream, this is not a dream” (2006).]
